To troubleshootthe QuickBooks Won’t Open error, run the Clean Install program from the Tools Hub.Your old install directories are auto-renamed by the Clean Install program. Additionally, QuickBooks will sync new install files when you reinstall it. The files in your firm will not be harmed.

Alternatively, turn off QuickBooks Desktop with simple clicks.

• Hold the Ctrl key down while double-clicking the QuickBooks Desktop icon.

Important: If QuickBooks freezes or gives you an error, don't release the Ctrl key until you see the "No Company Open" display.

• Choose Open after choosing a corporate file.
